Katy Jordan is an award-winning video journalist, editor and storyteller based in Boston. She largely works in documentary film, non-profit and media. A former print reporter for the Boston Herald, Katy's penchant for visual stories and digital media made her a lead producer of video content for the Herald's acclaimed website, serving at its helm until August 2012.
She has reported on spot news, human interest, crime and politics, including local and national political races. She covered the 2012 presidential campaign with special focus on Mitt Romney's bid for the White House. She has co-produced documentary films, and her work has been featured in outlets such as the Huffington Post, Christian Science Monitor, AJ+ and others. She currently serves as a producer for the award-winning documentary, A Fine Line.
She holds a Bachelor's degree from Hunter College and a Master's degree in journalism from Emerson College, where she has served as an adjunct professor of journalism. She is currently the Director of Communications for Cambridge Montessori School and is an adjunct instructor at Northeastern University. She currently resides in Boston's Jamaica Plain neighborhood.
